One product record, two clear buying paths.

Browse each handmade product once, then choose Buy Retail or Source Wholesale. Retail pieces enter the payment cart; bulk products enter a separate quote list with MOQ, sampling, packing, and delivery terms.

How this catalogue works

Products are not treated as warehouse stock. Each category is quoted against MOQ, sample approval, material availability, delivery window, quality standard, packing needs, and buyer country.

Who it is built for

Importers, retailers, hotels, interior designers, conscious home stores, gifting buyers, and private-label partners who need story, product discipline, and repeatable supply.

Operating model

Direct relationships with artisan partners.

HandOrigins works directly with artisans and artisan groups. Some products are designed by us, some are developed with the maker, and some preserve an existing craft language. The product page makes that relationship visible through maker credit, process notes, and design-house involvement wherever applicable.

HandOrigins design house

Leads buyer relationship, design direction where applicable, RFQ, sampling approval, order planning, payment, export dispatch, and accountability.

Artisan partners

Work directly with us on samples, production, finishing, maker credit, timelines, and quality expectations.

Jaipur Blue Pottery Jaipur Blue Pottery is a traditional and highly distinctive form of glazed pottery originating from Jaipur, Rajasthan. It is widely recognized for its vibrant blue colors, intricate hand-painted designs, and its unique, clay-free composition. Here are the key characteristics that define it: A "Clay-Free" Ceramic: Unlike traditional pottery, Jaipur blue pottery does not use regular clay. Instead, the dough is crafted from a unique mixture of quartz stone powder, powdered glass, Multani Mitti (Fuller's earth), borax, gum, and water. The Signature Blue: The craft gets its name from the striking, deep blue color used extensively in its designs. This color is achieved using cobalt oxide. A secondary turquoise hue is often achieved using copper oxide, while modern variations sometimes include yellows, greens, and pinks. Persian and Mughal Influence: The art form has Turko-Persian origins, which is reflected in its aesthetic. The motifs are heavily inspired by nature, featuring intricate floral patterns, arabesques, and animal figures (such as birds and deer). Single Firing Process: The pottery is fired only once in a traditional kiln at relatively low temperatures (around 800°C to 850°C). This makes the final product more fragile and brittle than standard high-fired ceramics, which is why it is predominantly used for decorative purposes rather than heavy-duty serveware. Common Products: Because of its delicate nature and beautiful glazing, this technique is typically used to create decorative items such as wall plates, vases, coasters, tiles, door knobs, and small ornamental bowls.

Bring the royal charm of Rajasthan into your home with our exquisite Quartz Sand Blue Pottery Bells. Rooted in a 300-year-old artisanal tradition from the Pink City of Jaipur, each bell is a vibrant testament to India’s rich cultural heritage. Unlike traditional ceramics, authentic Jaipur Blue Pottery uses absolutely no clay. Instead, our master artisans meticulously craft each bell using a unique, time-honored recipe. Quartz stone is ground into a fine powder and blended with powdered glass, fuller's earth, borax, and natural tree gum. Kneaded with water into a dough, it is playfully flattened into "pancakes" and carefully pressed into Plaster of Paris molds to achieve its perfect shape. Over the course of 4 to 5 days, the bell is dried, hand-smoothed, and brought to life. Artisans use masterful brushstrokes to hand-paint intricate motifs—ranging from delicate florals and snowflakes to stars and traditional animal figures. Finally, it is coated in a glass powder glaze and fired in a traditional kiln to achieve its signature, brilliant glossy finish. Festive decorations, bohemian home accents, unique wind chimes, or a thoughtful, culturally rich gift for art lovers

Sourcing standards

Quiet discipline behind every handmade order.

For international buyers, handmade sourcing must still be clear, measurable, and repeatable. These standards keep the romance of craft connected to practical buying decisions.

Clear MOQ before sampling

Each product family is quoted with a realistic MOQ range, so buyers can plan assortment, budget, and shipment scale before development begins.

Sample first, production later

Bulk production begins only after the buyer approves material, finish, size, colour direction, packing need, and final sample reference.

Made to order, not warehouse stock

Orders are planned around confirmed demand. This keeps the offer lean, reduces dead inventory, and respects the rhythm of handmade production.

Maker and process visibility

Where appropriate, the product record carries artisan credit, craft process, region, material note, and design-house involvement.

Buyer-ready specification

Dimensions, material mix, colourways, size options, sample lead time, production lead time, and packing notes are kept with the product record.

Private-label readiness

Branding, swing tags, labels, cartons, inserts, and buyer-specific packing can be discussed where the product and MOQ make it practical.

Craft Record as provenance

Selected products carry a Craft Record that connects the object to maker, material, region, process, and approved production batch.

Packing and dispatch clarity

Export cartons, inner protection, labelling, documentation, and dispatch checks are treated as part of the product brief, not an afterthought.

Category-wise quality checks

Felt, textile, pottery, wood, metal, and mixed-material products are reviewed against the checks relevant to their material and intended use.

Export quality

Only products that pass defined export checks move forward.

International standard claims must be specific and document-backed. The website will present the quality process without making unsafe blanket claims.

Material and finish review before sampling approval

This checkpoint becomes part of sampling, production, and final dispatch before export.

Buyer-approved sample locked before bulk production

This checkpoint becomes part of sampling, production, and final dispatch before export.

Measurement, stitching, colour, glaze, and finishing checks by category

This checkpoint becomes part of sampling, production, and final dispatch before export.

Packing tests for fragile or export-sensitive products

This checkpoint becomes part of sampling, production, and final dispatch before export.

Safety and compliance claims used only where certification exists

This checkpoint becomes part of sampling, production, and final dispatch before export.

Final QC before dispatch and export documentation

This checkpoint becomes part of sampling, production, and final dispatch before export.

Buyer types

Importers and distributors

Repeatable craft lines with MOQ, packing discipline, and delivery planning.

Boutique retailers

Distinct products with story, maker record, and retail-ready visual value.

Hotels and interior buyers

Project-scale decor, furniture, and furnishings with provenance.

Corporate gifting buyers

Seasonal handmade products with reliable lead times and customization.

Catalogue logic

One product can enter a buyer mind through many doors.

The catalogue is built as a sourcing map. A buyer may begin with a Christmas programme, a hotel room mood, a pet accessory line, a blue pottery table story, or a material brief. The same product can still remain traceable through category, subcategory, material, use, occasion, process, buyer type, and MOQ band.

01

Start with the buying job

Choose the product family first: festive, Home & Living, pet, pottery, furniture, bags, or lifestyle accessories.

02

Refine by material and process

Filter the story through wool felt, cotton, wood, metal, blue pottery, block print, stitch, or mixed material craft.

03

Match the occasion

Build buyer edits for Christmas, hospitality, corporate gifting, conscious retail, home styling, or daily-use collections.

04

Move to RFQ discipline

Every selected product carries MOQ, lead time, sample path, specification sheet, and maker record before quotation.
